I have something of a major announcement to make! After reviewing the logs for HTDTE and the rest of my site (which have been kept separate to stop the former utterly outshining the latter) I have found two things. First of all, HTDTE (currently at 523,559 hits total since I began counting at the beginning of this year) has finally been surpassed in total hits by the rest of Sam's Archive combined, which, thanks to the exploding popularity of the Piracy Calculator, now stands at 531,269 since I started that counter in April.

Secondly and more importantly, the astute among you will have noticed that the combined total of the above is

over ONE MILLION hits!

The millionth hit occurred on Monday 12th September 2005, and I wasn't paying enough attention to my combined logs to notice it at the time. Interestingly, it happened a few days BEFORE the Piracy Calculator suddenly became popular.

I apologise for this somewhat self-indulgent news post. Of course, there are other sites out there with infinitely greater popularity. But a million hits, man. That's loads!
