I'm not sure if I plan to make a habit of reviewing albums. You might want to compare this review with my brother's.
"With Teeth" is an album by Nine Inch Nails, released 2005-05-03 on Interscope Records, BUT I'M SURE YOU ALREADY KNEW THAT.
Was it worth waiting six years for? I'd say no. But then, I only consider about ten albums in the entire history of music to be significant enough to be worth that kind of wait. With Teeth is everything you've come to expect from a brand new Nine Inch Nails album: loud, powerful, fast-paced, angry, gritty, exhilarating, and both tightly constructed and technically faultless. A superb example of the genre? Unquestionably. Must-buy metal? Absolutely.
Revolutionary? No. I'm not the biggest NIN fan but I'm led to believe this is firmly in line with Reznor's previous work. Yes, it's great music, but ALL Nine Inch Nails seems to be, to whatever extent, about this great.
Listenable, meticulously constructed, and recommended. Four, no five out of five.
