About me

I am qntm (pronounced "quantum"), a writer and software developer.

I wrote There Is No Antimemetics Division, Ra and Valuable Humans in Transit and Other Stories, the latter including the short stories "Lena", "The Difference" and "I Don't Know, Timmy, Being God Is A Big Responsibility".

I'm enthusiastic about time, time zones, time travel and calendars. I think Unicode is the best thing in computers and I believe that correctly structuring and normalising data is an important social issue. I was at one point the world authority on the true location of Springfield and may still be the world authority on destroying the Earth. If I appeared on Mastermind, my specialist subject would be Futurama. I was Time Magazine's Person of the Year in 2006.

I created Absurdle, HATETRIS and Base65536. I occasionally write programming tutorials.
